Some sweaters feel like a warm hug, and this pumpkin and black cowl neck sweater is one of them. Made from a soft wool polyester blend, it is cozy and warm without feeling stiff. The fit is slouchy and generous, made as one size to suit sizes 6 to 14. The hem curves, so it is slightly longer in the back and comes up higher in the front, which gives a flattering shape over jeans. The soft cowl neck keeps you snug on cool days. The seams are double sewn, first serged and then turned outward and top stitched down, which gives the sweater a relaxed, deconstructed look. Wear it with jeans, or pair it with black pants, a black skirt or black leggings for a bold pop of fall color. Each sweater is made in small batches in Angela’s Ballard studio in Seattle. For care, hand wash in cold water and lay it flat to dry. Fold it to store so it keeps its shape. Slow fashion is simply choosing warm, well made pieces you will reach for every fall.
