Before this jacket was a jacket, it was a piece of art. Each one is cut from 100% cotton mudcloth woven and patterned by hand in Mali, West Africa, where every length of cloth carries its own distinct graphic story. No two jackets are identical because no two pieces of mudcloth ever are.
The long A-line silhouette is flattering and easy to move in. Four vents, two in the front and two in the back, give it beautiful drape and a relaxed flow as you walk. Two side seam pockets keep things practical, and five vintage buttons add their own quiet character to each piece. The standup collar finishes the look with intention.
Wear it buttoned up like a structured shirt or open over a tunic or blouse for a layered, relaxed feel. Available in S/M (fits sizes 4 to 8) and M/L (fits sizes 10 to 14).
Hand wash in cold water and hang to dry, or dry clean. A jacket that carries the hands of another maker across the world. Like wearing a painting.
